Norman Sword - 110 cm
Your squire buckles the straps of your custom-fit armour, adjusting it to be comfortable and snug over your gambeson. Then you are handed your piece-de-resistance: the Norman Sword. You paid top coin for this sword, and you expect people will be impressed when they see how it shines on the battlefield. Your blacksmith assured you that the sword’s design was both effective and awe-inspiring, and you’re one to agree. You are a mighty warrior, indeed, to be the owner of such fine craftsmanship. A fitting symbol of your godly-given status. DETAILS Epic Armoury’s Norman Sword is a latex longsword with a classic fantasy appearance. The 80 cm double-edged blade has a fuller and a plain, but practical crossguard. The 20 cm handle can be used one- or two-handed, and is wrapped in split-leather to assure a comfortable and secure grip. A round pommel, handpainted like the rest of the sword, is detailed to match the crossguard. Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit. HISTORY Commonly referred to as a “broadsword,” which is actually a historically incorrect term Inspired by the two-handed longsword of the late medieval and Renaissance era, but with a slightly shorter blade Strong latex coating with a round fibreglass core Strong Kevlar core tip protection Made from durable closed cell foam that does not shred High safety, approved by the top organizations All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance.
This item is hand-made and/or hand-painted, which makes it unique. In result of that, this product can have natural differences in design, color and shape, which are not considered faults or defects.
Everyone wants for their weapons to serve as long as possible.
Nothing can describe how to maintain
Remember that most of the damage is done due to the lack of maintenance and bad storage.
Store your latex weapons flat or standing on their pommel - NEVER on the thrust (this will cause damage to the tip of the weapon, that’s not refunded)
Use a barrier made of paper or a towel to guard your weapon in contact with other plastic or rubber surface, so they won’t stick together.
Keep your weapon in a cool, dry area.
Avoid long time exposure to sunlight and don’t transport your weapons on top of your car luggage.
Remember about the maintenance, sprays work best for that.
