This Epic Armoury Clear Latex is one of our DIY products used to create or repair your own Live Action Role Playing weapon. Made from natural rubber, this latex comes in a large five liter bottle and can be used to coat your completed foam weapon with a protective and aesthetically pleasing clear coating. Bulk bottles like this one can also be used to create molds and other projects that require more latex.

Directions for use:

There are multiple methods to create a latex mold, but here are the basics! First, choose what object you would like to use to make the mold. This could be a rock, a sculpture, a mask--just don’t use your own face or skin! Latex seals your skin and can cause damage to it. Clean and dry the object and then set it on a flat surface. Brush layers of latex onto the object, allowing each layer to dry before adding a new layer. If your object is larger, you may need more layers and may need to add reinforcing material like gauze. Cure your mold by leaving it to dry overnight, and then peel the mold carefully away from the object. Build a support stand for your mold using something like sand, then pour plaster or resin into the mold. In this way you can create magical items and in-game coins of your own!

Made from natural rubber and 1% ammonia

Keep the lid on the bottle securely tightened to prolong the lifespan of your latex. Store in a dark and cool place. Do not pour latex in any drains or toilets.

First Aid

After inhalation: Supply fresh air. Consult a doctor if you experience any symptoms. After skin contact: Immediately rinse with water. After eye contact: Rinse the eye while open for several minutes under running water. After swallowing: Rinse out your mouth and then seek medical aid.

Remember that most of the damage is done due to the lack of maintenance and bad storage.

Store your latex weapons flat or standing on their pommel - NEVER on the thrust (this will cause damage to the tip of the weapon, that’s not refunded)
Use a barrier made of paper or a towel to guard your weapon in contact with other plastic or rubber surface, so they won’t stick together.
Keep your weapon in a cool, dry area.
Avoid long time exposure to sunlight and don’t transport your weapons on top of your car luggage.
Remember about the maintenance, sprays work best for that.
