DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Push Dagger Holder comes with a dagger, and is specifically designed to store and protect a Epic Armoury Push Dagger throwing weapon. The handmade holder attaches to any belt or baldric thanks to the two leather ties. A leather strap clips across the knife to keep it inside the holder until you need it, even during rough combat.

Made from full-grain leather, brass eyelets, and reinforced stitching around the edges, this weapon holder is built to keep its shape and withstand the abuse of a LARP with regular leather care.

This product is handmade and/or hand-painted and therefore unique. As a result, the products can have natural deviations in patterns, colors and shapes, which are not considered defects or faults.

Everyone wants for their weapons to serve as long as possible.

Nothing can describe how to maintain tem as good as a video, so we encourage you to check out one of the episodes of “The Logbook” on that topic (with English subtitles):

Remember that most of the damage is done due to the lack of maintenance and bad storage.

  1. Store your latex weapons flat or standing on their pommel - NEVER on the thrust (this will cause damage to the tip of the weapon, that’s not refunded)

  2. Use a barrier made of paper or a towel to guard your weapon in contact with other plastic or rubber surface, so they won’t stick together.

  3. Keep your weapon in a cool, dry area.

  4. Avoid long time exposure to sunlight and don’t transport your weapons on top of your car luggage.

  5. Remember about the maintenance, sprays work best for that.

Natural leather products are very durable, but require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay flexible and to increase life-time. Make sure your leather products are kept dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating. If frequently wet and dry, increase frequency of maintenance.

Cleaning

It is best to start cleaning leather from the most delicate measures possible. Therefore, use a damp cloth with a little soap. If this is not enough - use a hard brush to remove dirt. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away the remaining water from the leather. Let it dry completely before the next maintenance step.

Conditioning

Always keep the leather maintenance after cleaning, because the soap will remove some of its natural oils. Apply mink oil, olive oil or professional lanolin-based fats to clean leather using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of fat with circular movements. Wait for the fat to soak in the leather, then use a clean cloth to clog the residue. For maintenance, you can also use beeswax by heating it to a liquid state and applying it to the leather. Remember that the leather so preserved will be harder and significantly darken what sometimes is the desired effect.
