You don't have much time as you scoop several handfuls into your Imperial Leather Bag, thanking the fact that your bag is big enough to carry so much, before you jingle toward the exit.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury's Imperial Leather Bag is a rigid leather box intended to hang from the belt. The lid is deep and overlaps the bottom in order to keep the contents safely inside. It is locked by pushing a brass knob through the front leather strap, and is attached to the belt using the two leather straps on the back. There is also a square ring on the back which can be utilized to attach the Imperial Leather Bag to other packs.

The Imperial Leather Bag is made from vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather and is stitched around the edges to ensure a product that will withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment. The bag is low-fantasy, fully compatible with other Epic Armoury items, and can go with almost any character or universe you care to imagine.

This product is handmade and/or hand-painted and therefore unique. As a result, this product can have natural deviations in pattern, colour and shape, which are not considered defects or faults.

HISTORY

Historically referred to and used like a ?pocket? before pockets were added to clothing.
Pouches worn at the belt have been found in Swedish and English burial sites pre-dating 1000 A.D.

Natural leather products are very durable, but require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay flexible and to increase life-time. Make sure your leather products are kept dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating. If frequently wet and dry, increase frequency of maintenance.

Cleaning

It is best to start cleaning leather from the most delicate measures possible. Therefore, use a damp cloth with a little soap. If this is not enough - use a hard brush to remove dirt. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away the remaining water from the leather. Let it dry completely before the next maintenance step.

Conditioning

Always keep the leather maintenance after cleaning, because the soap will remove some of its natural oils. Apply mink oil, olive oil or professional lanolin-based fats to clean leather using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of fat with circular movements. Wait for the fat to soak in the leather, then use a clean cloth to clog the residue. For maintenance, you can also use beeswax by heating it to a liquid state and applying it to the leather. Remember that the leather so preserved will be harder and significantly darken what sometimes is the desired effect.
