The bestselling Epic Armoury Viking Shield is a round latex shield inspired by early pre-10th century vikings and Saxons. With a wooden texture and wood and iron paint finish, this shield is sure to impress your fellow warriors on the battlefield paired with a Viking Axe. Its slight convex shape and iron boss on the front is sure to give you an edge in combat.

HISTORY

Round wooden style was predominantly used in the early European Middle Ages using light, non-splintering wood such as linden, fir, alder or poplar.
Iron rim was sometimes used as a way to reinforce the shield.
Used the “Shield Boss”--the round, convex piece of material at the centre of the shield--to deflect blows.

Remember that most of the damage is done due to the lack of maintenance and bad storage.

Store your latex weapons flat or standing on their pommel - NEVER on the thrust (this will cause damage to the tip of the weapon, that’s not refunded)
Use a barrier made of paper or a towel to guard your weapon in contact with other plastic or rubber surface, so they won’t stick together.
Keep your weapon in a cool, dry area.
Avoid long time exposure to sunlight and don’t transport your weapons on top of your car luggage.
Remember about the maintenance, sprays work best for that.
