Epic Armoury’s Footman Tower Shield is a kite shaped latex shield originally inspired by the Greeks. Finished with a hand painted wooden body and decorative metal rim, this shield is sure to impress your fellow warriors on the battlefield..

Wear this Footman Tower Shield left-handed with the use of two versatile leather arm straps on the back. Feel confident that this hard EVA foam and latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance.

History

Iron rim was sometimes used as a way to reinforce the shield. It offered protection to most of the warrior’s body.

Remember that most of the damage is done due to the lack of maintenance and bad storage.

Store your latex weapons flat or standing on their pommel - NEVER on the thrust (this will cause damage to the tip of the weapon, that’s not refunded)
Use a barrier made of paper or a towel to guard your weapon in contact with other plastic or rubber surface, so they won’t stick together.
Keep your weapon in a cool, dry area.
Avoid long time exposure to sunlight and don’t transport your weapons on top of your car luggage.
Remember about the maintenance, sprays work best for that.
